Life at Highcroft Vets

Due to expansion, Highcroft Vets are looking for an experience Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team as a Hospital Coordinator / Team Lead. Highcroft Whitchurch is a busy 24-hour hospital, supported by a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists. 

The role is 40 hours, working a mixture of early (7:30-16:00) and late (12:00-20:30) shifts, across 5 days with a share in the bank holiday and 1 in 8 weekend rota.

Your main responsibilities will include leading a team of student nurses and veterinary care assistants, organising and evaluating how the hospital runs on a day-to-day basis, communicating with internal teams, and coordinating teams across wards, impatient, surgery, procedures, exotics, and imaging departments, while delivering high-quality care to our patients.

We offer a dedicated clinical environment, with:

  • Separate feline, canine, and exotic wards
  • Specialist vivaria, aquaria, and large-species housing
  • State-of-the-art surgical suite
  • Access to digital X-ray, CT scanner, endoscopy, and ultrasound
  • On-site emergency team for continuous support

About You

We're looking for a dedicated Team Lead to join our Whitchurch team – you will:

  • Be passionate about delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their owners every day. 
  • Support the outcome of patients care in all aspects of clinical work as part of the team. 
  • Lead a team of student nurses and veterinary care assistants, supporting them in their clinical journey.
  • Ensure Quality is maintained by keeping our practice in excellent condition- ensuring quality of care and the best possible outcomes for every patient

  • Contribute to creating a positive environment, fostering a friendly, welcoming and supportive team culture.
