Life at Severn Edge Much Wenlock Vets

We are looking for a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team and work 40 hours across 4 or 5 days. This will be a mixture of early and later shifts between 8:30am-6:30pm.

Severn Edge Much Wenlock is a thriving small animal practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, compassionate care within a large town in Shropshire. With easy access to Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, and Telford, as well as to the M54 for convenient travel to surrounding cities, the practice also benefits from being close to beautiful countryside and areas of outstanding natural beauty. The team prides itself on a positive, open culture where every voice is heard. Nurses are fully utilised in their roles, including Schedule 3 procedures.
We have a visiting clinical behaviourist vet, nurses with dental and surgical certificates, and our facilities include laparoscopic kits, digital x-ray, endoscopes, ultrasound, and dental x-ray, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care.

Some of your responsibilities would include:

  • Conducting regular check-ins and 1-2-1s with the nursing support team
  • Delivering training and mentorship for new and junior team members
  • Completing clinical audit checks
  • Running nursing clinics and providing inpatient care

About you

Our ideal candidate will have had some leadership experience and be confident in both nursing and people skills. The role offers a high level of autonomy and would suit someone who is self-motivated, confident in using their initiative, and committed to driving continuous improvement in quality and clinical standards.
