Outpatient Team Leader RVN
Are you an experienced RVN ready to take the next step into leadership, while remaining hands-on in a fast-paced clinical environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary specialist hospital with a nursing team of over 50 RVNs, where your skills, ideas and leadership will be truly valued.
As our Outpatient's Team Leader, you will play a key role in the smooth running of our hospital, working closely with fellow Team Leaders and Head Nurses to support our teams to develop our team and working daily with the specialist medicine nurses to continue delivering gold-standard patient care.
The role covers a variety of teams to include Oncology, Cardiology, Dermatology and our lab Laboratory and Stock and Dispensary
What you'll be doing
Supporting a varied and interesting caseload across our growing Oncology and Cardiology services and working closely to assist our Dermatologist to support the running of the day to include procedures and consultations.
Working alongside our Specialist Cardiology RVN to help keep clinician diaries running smoothly and efficiently.
Providing hands-on support to our busy Oncology team, helping ensure patients receive calm, compassionate and timely care.
Liaising with our Laboratory Technician, Stock team and Dispensary team to support efficient patient flow and service delivery.
Leading, coaching and supporting a team of 3 RVNs and 3 PCAs through regular check-ins, 1-to-1s and day-to-day guidance.
Contributing to monthly Team Leader meetings and Clinical Governance meetings, helping shape positive improvements across the hospital.
Supporting junior colleagues with training, encouragement and practical guidance as they build their confidence and clinical skills.
Working closely with the Wards and Anaesthesia teams to provide additional support where needed.
