Are you a passionate and dedicated Referral Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) looking to make a real impact during twilight hours? At Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists, we're seeking skilled RVNs to join our Referral Twilight Nursing Team, where your expertise will directly support patient wellbeing and continuity of care overnight.

About the Role

This vital twilight role (core hours: 18:00–02:00, (with the opportunity to discuss flexibility for the right candidate) focuses on inpatient care and emergency & critical care during out-of-hours. You'll work closely with our Specialists, ward RVNs, and rotating interns, ensuring seamless handovers and consistent care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of inpatient care
  • Bridge the gap between day and night teams by facilitating handovers
  • Advocate for patient wellbeing and comfort
  • Stock and set up clinical areas for the night shift
  • Support patient admissions and assist colleagues Rotate through ICU to provide consistent care
  • Cover team breaks and lunch periods to ensure continuous support
  • Ensure medications are updated and dispensed for overnight care
  • Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
  • Communicate effectively across disciplines
  • Handle incoming calls professionally and take appropriate action
