About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an RCVS Specialist, Diplomate (ECVAA/ ACVAA) or residency trained clinician to join our established Anaesthesia team on a fixed-term (maternity cover) basis. We would ideally be looking for a candidate to work Monday, Thursday and Friday but alternative work patterns could be considered. Out of Hours cover will be required both at weekends and one night a week. We would be looking for a start date of January 2027.

The successful candidate would be working closely with other experienced colleagues, residency-trained clinicians or Specialists in internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, dermatology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. You will have access to all the expected state-of-the-art equipment, and be supported by a truly brilliant team of anaesthetists together with a highly qualified and experienced nursing team

You will have an interesting and varied caseload and will benefit from the support of experienced colleagues both within ChesterGates and throughout the wider CVS Group. We are also an educational partner with the University of Surrey and have a team of rotating interns to satisfy those who enjoy teaching.

To be successful you will:

  • Be residency-trained or hold Diplomate status in Anaesthesia (ECVAA/ ACVAA)
  • Have current RCVS registration (MRCVS)
  • Be eligible to work in the United Kingdom
