The role is fully supported by:
Full 24 hour veterinary and nursing team
Other certificate led colleagues running departments in medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry, surgery and cardiology.
Veterinary certificate holders including surgery, medicine, cardiology, ECC, ophthalmology, imaging, clinical pathology and others studying towards more currently including dentistry.
Nurse certificates/advanced diplomas in ECC, anaesthesia, surgery, medicine, nutrition, oncology and others studying towards more including dentistry.
Progressive management team of 2 clinical directors, hospital manager, nurse manager, referrals administrator and senior administrator.

PetMedics is a large, 24-hour veterinary hospital in Worsley, staffed by a highly skilled and dedicated clinical team, this includes 36 vets, 40 nurses, patient care assistants, receptionists, animal transport team, laboratory technician, dispensary technician and large management/administration team.

We have two first opinion branches based at Walkden and Salford.

24 hour hospitalisation care for patients that require it
Designated referral administrator
Our dermatology patients are referred both internally from the PetMedics first opinion team, and externally via our network of 45+ referring practices.
The Role
Manage and work up dermatology cases to a high standard, with continuity strongly encouraged
Receive cases from internal and regional referrals
Help develop and expand the dermatology service across Greater Manchester
Benefit from clinical support, diagnostics and excellent nursing care from an experienced team
What We're Looking For
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
Dermatology Certificate holder : newly obtained certificate holders are encouraged to consider this opportunity as management can fully support the right candidate in this role.
Excellent case management and client communication skills
Collaborative approach to working with referring vets and hospital colleagues
