Orthopaedic Intern
We are a busy, small animal orthopaedic specialist referral centre, based near Cambridge.
We are seeking an additional enthusiastic and motivated veterinary surgeon (MRCVS) with an interest in small animal orthopaedics to join us as an Intern to work in our friendly and positive team. The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of patient management including consultations and admissions, anaesthesia, diagnostic investigations (including CT), surgery and postoperative care.
This is an opportunity to work in a specialist referral veterinary environment and the internship will provide good preparation for advanced veterinary training programmes, such as a residency. You will be encouraged and supported in undertaking and publishing a scientific research study during the internship.
This full-time position does not require in person out-of-hours or weekend work on a formal rota. We provide a supportive and positive working environment with in-house training.
In addition to a salary (£32,000 per annum), you will have 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, RCVS and VDS membership paid, company contributory pension scheme and other company fringe benefits. You will have access to a comprehensive online library, including veterinary and medical journals.
Applicants should ideally have previous experience in small animal practice or an internship, but exceptional new graduates will also be considered for this position.
