We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Goring Veterinary Surgery.
Location:Goring Veterinary Surgery, with some work at our Burghfield site required as well]

Shift Pattern: To be disussed, ideally 5, five hour days with a combination of 8-1 and 2-7 1:6 Saturday morning at the Burghfield Practice 8am-1pm
About (Goring and Burghfield):
We are an award winning practice with a real focus on client, patient and staff welfare. We are the only CVS practice to hold the BVA goodwork place award. In 2024 we achieved the RCVS practice awards in Client and consultation services, as well as an RCVS Knowledge award for our teams work on reducing our antibiotics use, and we won the CVS practice award for Client care!
We have a strong leadership team, who really do care about every member of the team and their wellbeing, we actively promote career progression and further training, and this is demonstrated in team members who have moved into several new career roles this year alone.
We are looking for someone to be the face of our practice, who will provide exceptional client care, and wants to work within a fantastic caring team, and a truly exceptional reception team.

About the role:
Day-to-day duties of the role will include:
Answering phones and booking appointments
Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
Registering new clients
Completing insurance forms
Dispensing medications
Taking payments
And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
What we're looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:
Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
An excellent communicator with strong empathy
Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
