At Clifton Villa Veterinary Practice, part of the CVS Group, we are too! We're looking for 2 warm, welcoming, and highly motivated individual to join our friendly reception team in beautiful Newquay. We have one full time position at Newquay and a Part time position at Trur.
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first friendly face our clients see when they walk through our doors, and the reassuring voice they hear on the phone. You'll play a vital role in making every client and pet feel valued, supported, and cared for from the moment they arrive.
About the role:
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
Answering phones, responding to emails, and booking appointments
Registering new clients and updating records accurately
Dispensing medications and completing insurance forms
Processing payments and supporting debt control
Handling potentially sensitive or distressing situations with empathy and discretion
Being a key part of our client care journey and helping the practice run smoothly

What we're looking for in our next Receptionist:
Previous receptionist experience is essential (veterinary experience is a bonus)
A confident communicator with empathy and professionalism
Resilient in challenging situations, with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills and a team-player attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
