As part of a group of three practices across Manchester, we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our first opinion team. You will work with a friendly, supportive team and have access to excellent clinical facilities, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, and an on-site laboratory. Additionally, you'll benefit from our 24-hour hospital and certificate-led referral team, which offers specialist support for more complex cases.

This is an exciting full-time role (part-time considered for the right candidate), ideal for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care. The role involves a mix of consulting, surgery, and emergency care. You will be part of a collaborative team, and case continuity is key, allowing you to develop long-term relationships with clients and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing high-quality veterinary care, consultations, and surgery
Collaborating with a team of experienced vets and nurses
Contributing to the training and mentoring of junior vets and support staff
Managing emergency and critical care cases in our 24-hour hospital

Competitive salary up to £45-60k, dependent on experience

Up to 40 hours per week: 4 x 9-hour weekday shifts at PetMedics Walkden, plus 1:4 weekends of 2 x 8-hour weekends covering ECC duties at our hospital alongside four other vets (no sole charge)
Practice hours: 8am-6pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 8am-8pm on Tuesday and Thursday
