Veterinary Surgeon
Grove - Fakenham, Norfolk
Join a modern, well-equipped small animal hospital in beautiful North Norfolk, working alongside an experienced team with access to advanced diagnostics, varied medical cases and excellent clinical support.
Life at Grove Fakenham
Our culture is built around collaboration, clinical excellence and genuine support for one another.
As a busy RCVS-accredited hospital with two branch practices, you'll be joining a large, experienced team of 16 day vets (10.5 FTE), 3 dedicated night vets, 48 nursing and patient care team members, and around 20 administrative colleagues.
We work closely alongside three orthopaedic specialists, and our first opinion team includes an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Soft Tissue Surgery, an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Dermatology, and several certificate holders, fostering an environment where knowledge-sharing and continual learning are part of everyday practice.
Daily clinical rounds, journal clubs, case discussions, monthly vet meetings, regular morbidity and mortality rounds, and quarterly clinical governance meetings ensure a progressive, open and supportive approach to patient care.
We are committed to maintaining high clinical standards while keeping patient welfare at the heart of every decision. Equally important is the wellbeing of our team, with protected admin time, a strong focus on work-life balance, and a culture where everyone's voice is valued.
There is also significant opportunity to develop interests in medicine and diagnostic imaging, supported by our experienced clinical team.
The local area
Based in the market town of Fakenham, our practice is ideally located within easy reach of the stunning North Norfolk coastline, beautiful countryside and popular destinations including Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham Beach. Whether you enjoy coastal walks, outdoor activities or a slower pace of life away from the city, Norfolk offers an excellent quality of life and affordable living with Norwich approx. 45mins away.
You will also benefit from easy access to a thriving veterinary community, including BSAVA East Anglia CPD events, specialist-led education through East of England Veterinary Specialists, and major national conferences such as BVA Live and London Vet Show.
