We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Albavet Veterinary Surgeons on a full-time basis. Offering a salary up to £60k dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, this permanent position offers 40 hours per week across 4 days with 1 in 6 Saturdays and 1 in 12 Sundays. There is no on-call.
The role…
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will be based in Fife, Scotland, with your main base at our Kirkcaldy practice, and will have the flexibility to work across our Burntisland branch and other local sites.
Albavet has several small animal practices, and our friendly and experienced veterinary teams provide the highest quality of veterinary care, surgery and treatment – along with regular check-ups and routine procedures.
You will enjoy working with a forward-thinking clinical team of Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, Receptionists and Patient Care Assistants to continue to help the practice grow and drive clinical excellence.

Alongside our practice's facilities, we are supported by our awesome reception and Veterinary nurse team who do night nursing for our inpatients, and you'll be joining a very stable and experienced Veterinary team
Alongside our regular consultations, we offer a brand-new dog and cat Behaviour Clinic referral service, led by Nikki McLeod RVN PGDip(CAB). With qualifications in clinical animal behaviour and a provisional member of the Association of Pet Behaviour counsellors, Nikki is eager to help clients with behavioural issues such as separation anxiety, over-grooming, aggression and much more.

Salary and Hours:

Our practice opening hours cover Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
