Exciting opportunities for Veterinary Surgeons to join our Petmedics team at our 24 hour hospital and first opinion practices in Manchester!
We currently have twilight night ECC shifts, daytime ECC shifts, and daytime first opinion shifts available. This allows us to be flexible and allows successful candidates to work with us to create their ideal job.
We are open to all of the below:
Part time/full time roles
First opinion solely/ECC solely, or a mix
Twilight shifts only: 1 week on and 1 week off rota doing a 1 in 2, 1in 4 or 1 in 8 week working pattern
Daytime shifts only
A mix of all the above!
Running specific clinics if the candidate has additional qualifications or interests, (e.g. exotics, dental, surgery, ECC)
Who are we?
PetMedics is a large 24-hour veterinary hospital, staffed by a truly superb clinical team of 37 veterinary surgeons, 50 nurses and 15 PCAs, all committed and able to offer the best possible level of care to our patients. We have a large waiting room (and separate cat waiting room) - we are proud to have been awarded the GOLD status for being a Cat Friendly Clinic, Silver rabbit friendly award and dog friendly status.
Our facilities include - 4 theatres, 6 consulting rooms, specific intensive care ward, digital X-ray, CT scanner, ultrasound scanner, endoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and in-house laboratory. We have staff on site with additional qualifications in medicine, surgery, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, ECC and clinical pathology.

Candidate requirements
Ideal candidate would be post PDP and confident with all general first opinion cases. If the successful candidate has any qualifications in behaviour there may be potential to have a role in our behaviour referral team alongside the first opinion role!
