We're looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Sunday Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at the MiNightVet clinic in Hillsborough, County Down, Northern Ireland.

Rota: 1 in 2 Sundays or 1 in 4 Sundays, 07:30 - 19:30.

Life at MiNightVet Hillsborough

You will enjoy working with an energetic, motivated and experienced team of Vets, Nurses and support staff providing triage and intensive care at an excellent standard to a variety of interesting cases involving both emergency patients and in-patients.

This role supports our outstanding day team at Cromlyn House Veterinary Hospital, providing out-of-hours care for a wide network of local first-opinion practices. You'll also be involved in managing inpatients from Northern Ireland Veterinary Specialists and Cromlyn House itself.

About you 

This role would suit an experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication and organisation skills, who can deliver high-quality care to emergency and critical patients. You will be:

  • Driven by shared passion to provide the best possible care to animals, you're committed to delivering outstanding care to support our patients and their owners.
  • Confident in your clinical skills, you'll be able to take on cases and carry out diagnostic investigations with precision.
  • Keen to develop, you're committed to gaining further confidence in clinical skills so that you can manage or lead on different case types
  • A natural mentor and team player, you'll enjoy supporting and inspiring all colleagues to help them thrive. Providing ongoing support to team members with opportunities for progression.
  • Client care comes naturally to you, you know how to create a positive, reassuring experience that builds trust and long-lasting relationships.
  • As an experienced vet you'll be comfortable handling a varied caseload, offering guidance to the wider team and contributing to shaping clinical standards.
