An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team at West Mount Vets in Huddersfield.

This role would suit an experienced vet who enjoys first opinion practice and is looking to work within a collaborative team where clinical standards are valued, professional development is encouraged and work-life balance is genuinely supported. There is also scope for someone with an interest in developing leadership skills in the future.

Life at West Mount Vets

West Mount Vets is a well-established first opinion practice with a loyal client base and an experienced, welcoming team.

Our purpose-built practice offers:

  • Five consulting rooms
  • Two operating theatres
  • Dedicated dental suite with dental radiography
  • Digital radiography
  • Ultrasound

You'll enjoy a varied medical and surgical caseload, with the support of experienced colleagues and the clinical freedom to make decisions in the best interests of your patients. Our Halifax hospital provides our own out-of-hours service, allowing this role to remain first opinion with no routine OOH commitment.

 

About you

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys building strong client relationships, works well within a supportive team and is keen to continue developing their clinical skills. An interest in mentoring colleagues or progressing into a leadership role would be welcomed but is by no means essential.
