Life at Ark Veterinary Centre

This role is full-time, 40 hours a week across 5 days with a share in the 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota. We can also consider part-time, flexible applications – just let us know what works for you.
 
Ark Veterinary Centre – Long Eaton are a friendly, well-established practice with long-standing staff and loyal clients, proudly holding both ISFM Cat Friendly and Dogs Trust Dog Friendly status. Ideally located near the train station, on a bus route, and just minutes away from the M1, it offers easy access to Nottingham, with the added benefit of nearby canal walks and local amenities.

Our facilities include a digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, separate cat & dog wards, and in-house labs giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care.  We are committed to ensuring a friendly and collaborative environment where everyone is supported in providing the best possible care to animals. We are very development-focused and can support with any CPD interests.

 
About you: 
 
We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our Long Eaton team. Working within a culture where clinicians are empowered to make the best decisions, where improvement is encouraged and where best practice is shared, you will be:

• Confident in your clinical skills, you'll be able to take the lead on surgical and medical cases, and carry out diagnostic investigations with precision. 

• Keen to develop, you're committed to gaining further confidence in clinical skills so that you can manage or lead on different case types 

• A natural mentor and team player, you'll enjoy supporting and inspiring all colleagues to help them thrive. 

• Client care comes naturally to you, you know how to create a positive, reassuring experience that builds trust and long-lasting relationships. 

• As an experienced vet, you'll bring a strong level of clinical autonomy and be comfortable handling a varied caseload, offering guidance to the wider team and contributing to shaping clinical standards.
