We know that being a vet is about more than just medicine—it's about the relationships you build, the trust you earn, and the difference you make in both pets' and owners' lives. If that resonates with you, we'd love to chat!
We're incredibly proud of our team here. We have multiple certificate holders across imaging, medicine, surgery, and ophthalmology, and we're also a teaching site for final-year vet students from the University of Bristol. We place a strong emphasis on clinical improvement and inclusive team culture, where everyone supports each other to deliver outstanding patient care. We have inpatients overnight but no OOH. Vets are on call for inpatients, currently 1 in 8. Call-outs are rare as caseload is limited to post-op analgesia for stable patients.
Our main site is Longwell Green, with two branch surgeries:
Keynsham – where most of our ophthalmology work is carried out, supported by a fantastic operating microscope
Brislington – a consult-only site with an experienced vet who has a strong interest in dermatology
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing excellent veterinary care to a variety of patients across our three branches.
- Sharing the in-house on-call rota (1:8) for inpatients only – this is a very quiet rota.
- Participating in the Saturday rota (1:4) from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Actively engaging with our team of certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, medicine, and surgery to enhance your own skills and development.
