Life at Yew Tree

Established in 1956, Yew Tree Vets is a well-respected practice located in Withington, South Manchester. Following a recent refurbishment, our practice combines modern facilities with a loyal and engaged client base, providing an excellent environment for delivering high-quality patient care.

We currently have a team of two experienced vets, with a new graduate joining us in September, supported by four nurses, one student nurse, and three receptionists. We pride ourselves on our positive, collaborative culture and our commitment to clinical excellence.

Our varied caseload allows for advanced workups and patient hospitalisation, and we actively support professional development. Within the team, vets are currently working towards certificates in Diagnostic Imaging and Surgery, with experience across consultations, radiography, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. We also benefit from the support of a visiting ultrasonographer for more complex imaging cases and have access to excellent out-of-hours and specialist referral services.

About you

We're looking for a confident GP Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys building strong client relationships and delivering excellent clinical care. Surgical confidence would be advantageous, but is not essential, as we are happy to consider a consultations-only role for the right candidate.

· Flexible working hours

· Approximately 1 in 4 Saturdays (depending on hours worked)

· No out-of-hours

· No Sundays

· No bank holidays

· Minimal sole charge

· Excellent work-life balance

· Flexible holiday arrangements where possible
