Life at Marske

We are a lovely, forward‑thinking training practice based in beautiful North Yorkshire, right by the sea, and we pride ourselves on delivering top‑quality, modern medicine and surgery. Our friendly, collaborative team includes three vets, a Head Nurse, five RVNs, SVNs (maximum two at any time), four PCAs, and a dedicated support team, with an Advanced Practitioner within the practice and excellent support from the ACSN network.

We are well equipped with all the tools you may need, including ultrasound, ECG, digital X‑ray, multiparameter monitoring and more, alongside a peripatetic orthopaedic surgeon who visits to carry out surgeries for both our own patients and local CVS practices. We have a strong culture of teamwork, with regular 1:1 meetings for all staff, frequent vet and nursing meetings to discuss cases, share skills and ensure consistent, high‑quality care, and an open, honest environment where everyone has a voice.

We are committed to sustainability through our Green Champion and practice‑wide recycling, and to wellbeing with a nurse soon to undertake mental health champion training to support both our team and neighbouring practices.

Our ethos is centred on transparency with clients, offering informed choices and always striving for the best possible patient outcomes, including referral where appropriate.

We offer an excellent work life balance with no out‑of‑hours or weekend work, a Monday to Friday rota, flexible working options, and a structured induction programme to ensure your first six months are supportive and stress‑free.
