Life at Crescent SA Vets 
 
Crescent Vets is a local small animal practice with a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists. Our facilities include x-ray machines, ultrasound, multiparameters, separate dog and cat wards, and 3 consulting rooms giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care. We pride ourselves on our friendly and collaborative environment where everyone is supported in providing the best possible care to animals. Based in the charming market town of Melton Mowbray, famous for its food heritage and welcoming community, our practice also benefits from excellent transport links to Nottingham and Lincolnshire. With a strong local client base and a close-knit team culture, Crescent Vets offers a supportive workplace where you can genuinely enjoy both your career and lifestyle.

The role is full-time, 40 hours a week across 4 or 5 days (between the hours 8:30am-6:3pm). We can also consider part-time, reduced hours, or flexible applications to help fit around your lifestyle – just let us know what works for you. There is no OOH, weekend, or bank holiday work.

 
About you: 
 
We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our Melton Mowbray team. Working within a culture where clinicians are empowered to make the best decisions, where improvement is encouraged and where best practice is shared, you will be:

• Confident in your clinical skills, you'll be able to take the lead on surgical and medical cases, and carry out diagnostic investigations with precision. 

• Keen to develop, you're committed to gaining further confidence in clinical skills so that you can manage or lead on different case types 

• A natural mentor and team player, you'll enjoy supporting and inspiring all colleagues to help them thrive. 

• Client care comes naturally to you, you know how to create a positive, reassuring experience that builds trust and long-lasting relationships. 

• As an experienced vet, you'll bring a strong level of clinical autonomy and be comfortable handling a varied caseload, offering guidance to the wider team and contributing to shaping clinical standards.   
  
  

This role is based in Melton Mowbray but is commutable from Oakham, Leicester City Centre, Loughborough, Ruddington, Grantham, Newark and surrounding locations.
