Ayres Veterinary Hospital in North Shields are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon, ideally a surgery certificate holder to join to team.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, including a 1 in 6 weekend day rota. Salary is between up to £75k and is dependent on experience, plus benefits.
About us…
Ayres Veterinary Group has its main site in North Shields and branch surgeries in Whitley Bay, Cramlington and Cleadon. We pride ourselves on high clinical standards and work-up culture. Since moving to a purpose-built site in July 2024, we have added a CT in to our hospital set up.
We have hospital provision including vet and nurses in the building overnight which allows us to care for patients 24 hours a day. If the successful candidate wanted to be integrated in to the night service with associated TOIL, this could be accommodated.
We are part of a wider group and community, CVS Group Plc. It is our priority to develop your clinical skills and drive our practice forward!
The Role
The successful Veterinary Surgeon would ideally manage surgical cases referred internally from colleagues as well as work alongside our vets to manage a variety of cases at a first opinion level. We have a friendly and supportive team and have the benefit of support within other CVS practices locally.
As well as enjoying our well-equipped practice and a busy, varied caseload, you will have access to a range of benefits. In addition, you will be supported in the development of your clinical and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is up to £75k, dependent on experience, plus access to our wide range of benefits, including:
Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority…or maybe having access to Vet Oracle, our support platform for veterinary colleagues that provides expert advice and support across a range of clinical areas.
