We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Night Vet at Alnorthumbria Veterinary Group. The shifts are alongside a Registered Veterinary Nurse, and include inpatient care, dealing with emergencies and evening consultations. Working in Emergency Out of Hours is a fantastic opportunity for vets and nurses who want to make a real difference to both owners and their pets at a critical moment in their lives and can be incredibly rewarding.
The caseload is varied and exciting, offering the opportunity to grow in skills and confidence whilst working as part of a friendly and supportive team.
The role is 7 nights on, then 14 off (can be split into two runs of 3 or 4 nights- 7 nights within a 3 week block). We are a busy, progressive first opinion practice with our own dedicated out of hours night team, looking for a skilled and self-motivated Veterinary Surgeon with some experience dealing with emergencies and critical care cases. Within the team, we encourage each other to pursue career aspirations and are looking for a vet who strives to complete their job to the best of their ability. We would love a vet who will take pride in being a motivated team player, is passionate about ECC and who wants to support their colleagues whilst giving gold standard care to pets and their owners.
We fully support CPD and career progression, whichever path that may be, and strive to ensure all staff have fantastic job satisfaction. Certificates are encouraged and funded. We are a sociable and welcoming team that work hard and play harder. We hold regular meals out, brunches and dog walks and are able to enjoy the nearby coasts and hills that Northumberland has to offer as well as being close to both Newcastle and Edinburgh.
Salary dependent on experience, to be discussed at interview. Relocation Allowance is available to candidates moving to the area. Visa costs can be supported.
