Life at Tremain Veterinary Centre
Tremain Veterinary Centre is a long-established small animal practice that has been caring for pets in the local community since the early 1970s. Conveniently located in the heart of Witney, the practice combines modern diagnostic equipment with a friendly, close-knit team and a personal approach to patient care. The team is committed to delivering exceptional clinical standards across preventative healthcare, consultations, surgery, diagnostics, and ongoing treatment.
You'll be joining an experienced and supportive team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, including colleagues holding Certificates in Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging, providing an excellent environment for collaboration, clinical discussion, and continued professional development. The wider team consists of 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, a Student Veterinary Nurse, and dedicated Patient Care Assistants and support colleagues, all working together to provide outstanding care to pets and their owners.
As part of the CVS family, Tremain offers a varied caseload and access to a broad range of services, including advanced diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, nurse clinics, preventative healthcare, and emergency support arrangements. Whether you're looking to expand your clinical knowledge or simply enjoy working within a genuinely supportive team, Tremain provides an excellent environment to do so.
This role offers excellent flexibility, with approximately 30 hours per week worked across 3 or 4 days, helping to support a healthy work-life balance. The rota also includes 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, ensuring a fair and manageable share of weekend responsibilities.
Outside of work, Witney offers the charm of a vibrant market town on the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by beautiful Oxfordshire countryside while benefiting from excellent transport links to Oxford, Cheltenham, and London. It provides the perfect blend of rural living and city accessibility.
