Life at Battle Flats Veterinary Centre
This role is a 12-month maternity cover contract and can be anywhere up to 40 hours a week, with a share in the 1 in 6 Saturday rota. Just let us know what hours work for you - we can consider part-time and flexible applications. You will work across two of our four sites at Stamford Bridge and Strensall.
Battle Flats Veterinary Centre are a well-established and highly respected practice with sites in Stamford Bridge and Strensall, serving the York area and benefiting from excellent access to North Yorkshire's beautiful countryside and surrounding towns. Renowned for the depth of experience within its team, the practice is home to 10 vets with more than 100 years of combined clinical experience and special interests spanning dentistry, dermatology, exotics, and cardiology, including PhD level.
The role does include some sole charge work but it is supported by a loyal, long-standing nursing team of 16 RVNs, PCAs, and Receptionists, and strong staff retention, the practice has built a collaborative and welcoming culture where colleagues share their knowledge and support one another to provide outstanding patient care. With an approachable leadership team and modern facilities, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, digital radiography, and separate dog and cat wards, as well as ISFM Cat Friendly and Rabbit Friendly accreditations, the practice are committed to help create an environment where people genuinely enjoy working and growing their careers.
