Veterinary Surgeon, Alver Veterinary Group, Stubbington, FT/PT rota available, Experienced or junior applications welcome, No OOH.
Here at Alver our large, friendly team are seeking either a junior Veterinary Surgeon or an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a focus on surgery, to join the team.
The role will be predominantly out of our Stubbington branch but there is also the option if you wish, to split your week and work out of our site in Gosport. Your new role would include a variety of consults and surgeries and would include some sole charge. The role is commutable from Portsmouth, Southampton, Fareham, Gosport, South Hayling, Waterlooville, Chichester and other surrounding locations within Hampshire and West Sussex.
Rota: 4 days working week with 1 in 4 Saturdays with a day back in lieu the following week. No OOH and a TOIL system for the rare times we get caught late.

We have 20-minute consults in 1.5-2-hour blocks including 30 minutes paid ‘wrapping up' time after the last appointment.
Like variety? Our shifts include consults, ops, and emergencies/wards so no week is the same.
Access to a local CT scanner
9 friendly vets with multiple certificate holders or working towards certificates in medicine, behaviour, diagnostic imaging, and dermatology.(across our group)
14 RVNs and 5 SVNs, all highly capable in schedule 3 procedures. They run a variety of nurse-led clinics including weight clinics, diabetic clinics and geriatric clinics
Visiting advanced practitioners providing services in surgery and cardiology
Monthly vet meetings to input into improvements to the practice, share CPD, and discuss interesting cases
Passionate about QI – regular clinical audits leading to improved ways of working
What we can offer you:
Salary of up to £68,000 that is negotiable on your experience
RCVS, VDS and subscription fees paid
