We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our weekend team at PetMedics for an ECC role. We have both twilight shifts (4pm – 12am) and day shifts (9am-5:30pm or 11am-7:30pm) available.
What we are looking for:
An experienced (2 years +) veterinary surgeon, ECC experience preferable but not essential, as mentoring can be provided
Excellent communication skills and time management in the emergency setting
Can be consult only, as vets with surgical bias on shift to take patients to theatre if preferred
Regular weekend rota (i.e. 1 weekend every 2-8 weeks considered), so can work around a job elsewhere
No sole charge; there are always 2-4 other vets on shift with you, depending on the time of day.
Who are we?
PetMedics is a large 24-hour veterinary hospital, staffed by a truly superb clinical team of 33 veterinary surgeons, 40 nurses and PCAs, all committed and able to offer the best possible level of care to our patients.
Our facilities include – 4 theatres, 6 consulting rooms, a dedicated ICU, onsite CT scanner, digital x-ray, 3x ultrasound machines, endoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and in-house laboratory.
You will have the support of our very experienced veterinary team, with Certificate holders in: ECC, surgery, medicine, imaging, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, cardiology and clinical pathology.
