Life at Active MiNightVet Woodbridge (Melton)
MiNightVet Ipswich, based in Melton, are looking for an experienced ECC Vet to join their Out of Hours team. The rota comprises of working a Saturday & Sunday day shift from 8am-7pm, followed by 7 nights 7pm-8am, followed by 3 weeks off. This works out as a weekly average of 26 hours a week (plus 2 x bank holiday day shifts that we will accommodate around your working rota/pattern) , giving you a great work life balance.

You will be working in a fully equipped, forward thinking clinic where our clinicians are able to offer an extensive range of both medical and surgical services on site. You will work alongside a dedicated and experienced ECC RVN with additional support from our receptionist during day shifts.
We are very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
By the end of 2026 we will be relocating to a brand new hospital, purpose built, with modern facilities including an onsite CT scanner, dental X-RAY and dedicated species separate wards.
About you:
We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. Working within a culture where clinicians are empowered to make the best decisions, where improvement is encouraged and where best practice is shared, you will be:
This position would suit an experienced small animal vet, preferably with a minimum of 2+ years' experience. The role involves primary care OOH consultations, receiving member practice case transfers, inpatient care, medical work ups and surgery. A strong medical knowledge is required and experience in routine and emergency surgery. You will possess good communication skills and have a passion to deliver excellent care and client service.
