CVS Vets  are excited to be recruiting for a Warehouse Operative who will be based at our warehouse in Diss Norfolk.

 

The hours available:

Full-time role - 40 hours per week: various shifts between 6am and 11pm

Part time - 20 hours per week: various shifts are between 6am and 11pm

 

Within this role the successful applicant will be working as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced warehouse.  A Warehouse Operative plays a key role in the efficient running of a warehouse by performing a range of manual and administrative tasks, including receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders, loading and unloading deliveries, and maintaining stock accuracy maintaining a clean and safe work environment, Flexibility to work shifts as required.

 

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow safety procedures, and a strong work ethic, using equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, and barcode scanners, ensuring that goods are delivered to the correct location in a timely and accurate manner.

The job holder will conform to the Quality Management System operated within CVS Group plc for the Good Distribution Practice of licensed or unlicensed veterinary medicines to ensure that all applicable laws and guidance are reflected in our processes and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Picking and packing customer orders 
  • Despatching Orders
  • Stock taking/checking
  • Inventory tasks
  • Goods In activities
  • Taking delivery of stock and supplies (Goods In)
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Receiving stock and locating to suitable locations
  • Keeping all paperwork up to date
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Forklift Operation
  • MHE Operation
  • Preparing courier manifests
  • Preparing pallets/cages ready for courier collection
  • Loading and unloading lorries and other vehicles
  • Maintaining warehouse machinery
  • Checking all orders for damage or missing items before dispatch
  • Receiving stock and supplies
  • Housekeeping duties
  • Preparing pallets for dispatch
  • Picking and packing customer orders

 

Additional:

  • Forklift operation, counter balance, stacker truck driving (desirable)
  • Preparing pallets ready for courier collection
  • Loading and unloading lorries and other vehicles
  • Maintaining warehouse machinery
  • Using the baler including removing the bales (full training will be given)

 

Experience and Key Skills Required:

Essential:

  • A good level of fitness

Desirable:

  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Experience of WMS systems (including JDA) knowledge & the use of hand held scanners would be a distinct advantage
