We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Referral Receptionist at Bristol Vet Specialists.

 

Location: Bristol

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 10 hours per week

Shift Pattern:  Every Saturday and Sunday 08.30 – 13.30

We have a brand-new hospital with a dedicated oncology prep room, procedures room and kennel space, as well as a state-of-the-art Elekta 6MV linear accelerator capable of advanced image-guided treatments. Covering over 30,000 square feet, it is custom-built with uniquely designed facilities and the latest cutting-edge equipment.

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Liaising with referring practices and with the Specialists Vet Department to schedule appointments
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly, providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the hospital

 

What we're looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:

  • Previous customer service experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Would possibly suit a student already within the Veterinary industry
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
